My Camp Blanket!

Here is a picture of the front of my main camp blanket ...

I have had a camp blanket for a number of years now, and on it I have all my Brownie badges and Guide badges that I have earned, as well as many other badges that I have purchased, earned and swapped over the years. All of my Guide badges are sewn onto my old Guide neckerchief, and the other neckerchiefs on the blanket are from my old Ranger unit and varous camps that I have participated in. I also have my Brownie cross-over tie sewn onto the blanket. I have done all the sewing (including the edging) myself by hand - it has taken me about 8 years to get to this stage, and it is an ongoing project that will never end!

My camp blanket goes to camps and pack holidays with me, and also to my Brownie meetings so that the Brownies can see it. The Brownies always ask lots of questions about the various badges and last year we (leaders) wrote quizzes based on our blankets for the Brownies to complete. I have just started sewing badges onto a second blanket (not photographed) as the first is filling up fast!

Some of the main badges that I collect are the UK County silks, and region / county / division standard badges. Here are lists of the standard and county badges that I already have - if yours is not listed why not get in touch and we can try and arrange a swap! All the badges marked with a * mean that I have spares of these available for swapping!
